Ford Motor Co. is set to begin work on a third Chinese car plant that will be making revamped Focus cars when it opens in 2012. The new factory will have the capacity to make 150,000 vehicles a year and boost Ford’s overall car production in the country to 600,000. According to the Chinese government, China’s vehicle sales are expecting to rise about 28 percent this year. Analysts say that Ford will want to catch with General Motors and Volkswagen in China, as the country is a “bright spot” for global automakers because demand is strong. --posted by Ying Jia Huang
