Chairman Jack Ma of the Alibaba Group Holding Ltd said that a trade war between the U.S. and China would be a catastrophe for the world economy, and expressed his staunch opposition. Since Alibaba has a strong connection with the U.S. market, the war would also be a disaster for the company. If the U.S. and China both raise tariffs, as an internet trading platform, Alibaba will not be to able to sell Chinese products and U.S. products into both countries. (Posted by Wei Lee)
