Xi's Lunar New Year speech inspires nation

Xi Jinping, the current Chinese president, the secretary of CPC Central Committee, as well as the chairman of the Central Military Commission, gave a speech that extended New Year greetings and inspired Chinese people to work hard on Jan. 27th, one day before the Spring Festival. Xi’s speech emphasized the need of the continuous economic growth in China, and the role of reform in 2016, as a way to improve Chinese people’s life quality and to enhance China’s prosperity. President Xi also called on Chinese citizens to deliver the spirit of diligence, honesty and sincerity and contribute to the country’s development. He said that he hoped that under CPC’s leadership, Chinese can work hard to help China fight against poverty and eventually achieve an ideal modernized society. (Posted by Mia Mi)
